Position Overview

CivicScience has engaged over 100 million users and collected billions of responses to questions that have informed the consumer insights trusted by the world’s top brands and business leaders.  Fueled by a recent $15 million capital raise, subsequent launch of an advertising solutions platform and a rapidly growing SaaS insights business, CivicScience is expanding its capabilities to engage users and leverage the responsibly sourced, permissioned and highly actionable dataset of their volunteered responses.  We are looking for an accomplished, entrepreneurial Product Manager who is ready to own the point at which all parts of CivicScience converge.  They will be challenged to improve upon an existing distributed polling module that lives across hundreds of websites and apps, as well as reimagine the user experience to allow for even more flexible and seamless integrations across various platforms and mediums including, but not limited to social, streaming, gaming, voice and connected TV.  The scaled feedback loop of the platform will offer the Product Manager an incredibly rare opportunity to source vital feedback on important enhancements or preferences in real-time to guide design and strategy directly from the actual users of the product.  We are looking for a creative and strategic Product Manager that will make the most of this unique engagement to build products that not only drive commercial success but captivate and delight users. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Product owner for all polling experience and engagement products and collaborate with stakeholders, including:
    • CivicScience Insights Business – Research, Account Management, Sales, Ops, and Product teams
    • CivicScience Media Business – Account Management, Sales, Ops, and Product teams
    • CivicScience, Inc. - senior management, Data Science, Software / Technology teams
  • Contribute to and execute vision for all polling experience and engagement products
  • Own and manage:
    • Product planning and requirements, as well as assignment of tasks and deliverables
    • Product lifecycle management from concept to launch
    • Definition and communication of product strategy to all stakeholders
    • Budgets, forecasts, and success metrics
  • Monitor product development sprints and evaluate results
  • Stay current with changes in user behavior/preferences and competitive capabilities/offerings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study including business, market research, data science, computer science, or statistics.
  • 5+ years of product management experience and a demonstrated record of successful product management, preferably in social networking, consumers insights and/or advertising
  • Skill and experience communicating with senior leadership, internally and externally
  • A working familiarity with software development management (especially agile) and related workflow systems (e.g., JIRA)
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
